Our experience with PHP and writing customized frameworks for most of our projects have always ended with great results. While we will continue to do so for clients that need it, we will also plan on adding Laravel to our PHP toolkit.
From what we gather, Laravel simplifies site development by keeping standardized tools together in order to focus on logic development alone, rather than also having to handle the internal plumbing that all web sites have to have to work the way they do.
We like it because it has the potential to bring customized code to the same level as predefined community code such as WordPress and Drupal. It can scale quite nicely and could stand alone on its own (if it is a simple microsite), or enhance larger and more complicated sites (for instance a social community, news web site, or a blog).
Our Laravel expertise will grow and we are sure to update you through our official blog as well as in our white papers as it pertains to the business model.
